Great make up is all about making sure your skin gets what it needs. If it is uneven try Madara Exfoliator; the clear gel formula it is mixed with -deliciously scented- apricot and oat to buff off dead cells to reveal a clearer complexion. Remove with a warm damp muslin cloth and spritz Therapi Lemon Toner which purifies and refreshes. S5 Purifying Serum works well too for for congested or blemish prone skin. It reduces pore size and improves skintone. To add hydration we love Nourish Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser which works for any skintype, really plumping skin whilst repairing it. For lips -or any sensitive, inflamed skin- use Ouli's Ointment which is a great soothing multi tasker balm. Vegan beauty junkies will love Hurraw Lip Balm which comes in many flavours, is non-sticky made with raw, organic and fair-trade ingredients.
For skin that is super parched and needs an intense hit of hydration try Weleda Skin Food, this miracle cream is biodynamic - with same winning formula of 90 years! It is rich and thick, so warm it up in your hands and use it as a face mask, highlighter, foot, hand, elbow cream. You name it, it will do the job!
For a dewy finish we love Vapour Soft Focus Foundation (s135) we used Ilia Powder brush to add a light base so it illuminates the skin keeping it fresh and modern. To conceal we used Hynt Beauty Concealer (Tan) which hands down it's the best pigmented, finely milled natural concealer. A little goes a long way, so go easy with it. We applied some with a W3ll People brush and then blend it in with the warmth of our fingers.
For the eye make up we crushed some Inika Vegan Pencil (10 Green Lagoon) between the fingers and palms and then applied it to moving eye lid. To set the cream eye colour brush Alva 'Burnished Olive' Pigment on top - see this later in the video.
For lips we used Vapour Aura Multi Stick (Crave) a fresh colour -also for cheeks- and with 70% organic ingredients stuffed with vitamins and antioxidants, this product has benefits way beyond the pretty colour. As good as Vapour, check out Tata Harper Cheek And Lip Tints for wearable colours made with coconut, beeswax and acai. Vegans check out Ere Perez Cheek and Lip Balm, which is water resistant made from carrots, advocado and olives. The colour 'Healthy' -a muted burnt orange- has that 70s vibe which we love.
To highlight Monica's cheekbones we dabbed Ilia Illuminator (Sway) on with our fingers. To contour we used RMS Eyepolish in Seduce; a little goes a long way so blend it well. Bear in mind this product has light-reflective minerals so it will add a glow to the skin.
Add RMS Tinted Powder -this mattifies and adds some coverage to where needed. As a final touch brush brows upwards.
